ABOUT:

Well here it is. TheAbsurd have spent close to three years, organising events, festivals, running riot and generally having more fun in Wales than should be allowed.

Our dream though, has always been to curate our own Absurd festival. One where we make no compromises, one where we make the final, final decisions about everything (don’t let our ‘arty’ veneer fool you, we’re secret dictators at heart).

So this is it. The Absurd Festival. We’ve put it on in the winter, it’s indoors, there’s no indie-guitar-bands; there’s unlikely to be any ‘waving of lighters in the air’ or singing along to the chorus...

What we’ve got is a collection of some of Wales’s finest musicians, poets and artists coming together to share their work with a rapt audience (yes that’s you).
There will be opportunities to ‘chin-stroke’ and discuss the various merits of European Psychogeography, the success of chip bending as an artform and to discover the depths of Adam and Dean’s record collections.

There’s also going to be jumping around. Check out the line-up. A lot of jumping around.
This journey through the challenging, inspiring, avant-garde world of Welsh art begins at 4pm – don’t be late (first act in stage at 4pm!)
