EFA THOMAS

Formerly of Welsh punk band the Stilletoes, Efa Thomas creates noise, lots of noise. She doesn’t sing like an angel, she sings like she’s just been on a date with the devil, got inspired to write some of the best punk tracks you’ll hear, and then dumped him for a night out with the band. Her attitude and music are firmly rooted in the ethics of the strong 70’s female punk artists like the X-Ray Spex (fronted by Poly-Styrene), and the (all female) Slits who brought a real art element to the punk movement that was often missing from male bands.
