Bang Bangor
Hydref 28th – 31st October
There’s a wicked 4-day festival looming in the calendar this autumn for anyone with even the slightest interest in music. Bang Bangor launches on Wednesday 28th October for what promises to be 4 days of gigs across Bangor that will knock your socks off. Organised by locals Aled Ifan, Llio Hughes and Bethan Lloyd, Bang Bangor’s first year is kicking off with style.
Here’s what they said, “Bang Bangor’s aim is to provide an exciting environment around the city… created by some of the best musical talents from all over Wales and beyond. Over the four-day-festival, music lovers will be able to enjoy over 45 performers at over 9 venues across the city.”
Performers such as Meilir, Gallops, Yucatan, Nia Morgan, Race Horses, John Lawrence and a host of other Welsh lovelies will be gracing any number of stages at venues across Bangor. Looking at the website is enough to get you reaching for you wallet and buying a very reasonably priced ticket. The organisers have obviously been inspired by the format at Swn festival down in Cardiff this year and that’s not a bad thing. All of the venues are well known by locals for putting on quality events and it’s great to see that they’re all being well used for this festival.
Those of you who simply can’t handle 4 full days and nights of gigs can buy single tickets for each event, and some are even free. But when the price for an ‘access all areas’ ticket is only £35 for the whole 4 days why would you bother buying anything less?
