A Great Big Absurd Welcome!
TheAbsurd are very please to announce the appointment of our new Welsh Language Editor, Gwilym Morus.

Those of you who are familiar with the site will know that Gwilym has already been contributing some terrific articles (in English), and there’s another one just been uploaded to bend your head right now!
It is important that theAbsurd truly reflects the alternative culture of North Wales, and obviously this can’t happen unless we publish Welsh Language articles. With this in mind Gwilym will be editing all news, articles and reviews that are submitted in Welsh.
Currently at the Welsh department at Bangor University, Gwilym is studying for a Doctorate in Welsh Literature. In addition, Gwilym has worked as an actor for S4C, a Community-Arts volunteer, and after visits to Palestine between 2003 and 2005, Gwilym instigated a collaborative music project with Palestinian musicians called Alternative Information.
Musically, Gwilym has been writing and performing his own songs for a number of years and he now releases on his own independent label, Eilio. The latest album, 'The Dressing Gown Goddess', is available on CD or to download now by following the links from his website. Gwilym is also the singer for Drymbago, an afro-beat influenced funk outfit from the Bangor area of North Wales – watch out for their 2009 tour to promote the new album. To find out more about Gwilym (and yes there is lots more!) visit his website at www.gwilymmorus.com
We’re sure that Gwilym’s experience, and passion for Welsh culture will offer our readers an even greater insight into this region’s shenanigans, so don’t forget to check out the new articles as they appear on the site. In the meantime Gwilym can be contacted at gwilym@theabsurd.co.uk
Diolch!
