Here's a chance to see your favourite band open the main stage of The Green Man Festival this summer. A few Absurd favourites from Wales are in the running for this and are looking hopeful to get into the top 20 of the first stage of the competition, including...

It's a three stage competition with the top 20 on June 28 being whittled down to the top 6, then onto a live battle of the bands style event in London on July 23rd.

A cursary glance through the list of hopefuls sees a healthy dose of Welsh acts in there, including I Am Austin, Bec and Beth, Cal Roberts, Mr Huw, Picture Books in Winter.
