It has been a while since I have graced your computer screens, so expect this edition of welsh music blaggery to be a juicy one!

First up, is the exciting debut album release from North Walean punk rockers The Stilletoes. Following up from last years pink vinyl single release on Ciwdod, ADH dreams is a collection of perfectly crafted punk rock bangers! Lead by the unique voice of lead singer Efa, ADH dreams sets out to grab you by the throat / squeeze the living life out of you / grab your life / squeeze whatever life is left in your life and proceed to blast your speakers to bits! With opener "Smoke and Snort" sending you straight into punk oblivion, the album travels at light speed through a tunnel of absolute madness. With classic lines such as "I'm so glad you lost your job" from recession this, you can expect to hear attitude around every corner until you get to "Caith i Gymru", a slower chilled affair which lures you into a false sense of security before once again jetting you off first class into oblivion! This album deserves a healthy 8 / 10 – that’s from a hip-hopper!!! If you’re into punk, I massively recommend this album! Ankst are nothing short than ecstatic with this release, expect to hear a lot more from this Punk group, Stilletoes are on a mission to bring that raw attitude to your doorstep!

As you all know, Bala is gearing up for this year's National Eisteddfod, taking place from the 01/08 - 09/08, gigs shall be ripe!! With confirmed bands being released this week you can expect to catch a gig every night at Maes B and of course Cymdeithas Y Iaith. Expect to see Derwyddon Dr Gonzo smash Maes B to bits on the final saturday night, with the new album ready for release you can expect this one to be a banger! Also on the ranks you can expect to see live sets from Meic Stevens, Dafydd Iwan, Gwyneth Glyn, Gareth Bonello, Pwsi Meri Mew, Sibrydion, Racehorses, Yucatan, Y Diwygiad, Mr Phormula!...........and thats just to name a few! Wow that is an attractive lineup of festivals, I'm sure there's more out there too. I hope you've been saving up your pennies people! Its gonna be a pricey one catching all these amazing bands, + that Mr Phormula guy!?!? He keeps cropping up everywhere, wonder who he is!??! hhhmmmmm.......oh well.
